Poco’s new mid-range smartphone M2 Pro launched in India

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco M2 Pro has been launched in India. It comes with a Snapdragon 720G chipset at a base price of Rs. 13,999 which makes it the cheapest phone with Snapdragon 720G. It’s base variant has 4GB ram and 64GB internal which is priced at Rs. 13,999 and the highest variant has 6GB ram and 128GB internal which is priced at Rs. 16,999.

When it comes to design and specifications, the M2 Pro is a mixture of Redmi’s Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max. The M2 Pro runs on MIUI 11 which is based Android 10. In the display, Poco has provided a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) display with 20:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. As mentioned above, the phone comes with 8nm octa-core Snapdragon 720G chipset with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 storage under the hood. The fingerprint scanner is embedded in the power button on the side. The display comes with a punch-hole notch located in the centre for the selfie camera.

The Poco M2 Pro has a quad-camera setup on the rear. It has a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 5MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera is of 16MP which also supports night mode like it’s rear camera.

Talking about other stuffs, M2 Pro has all the sensors such as an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor. It has a 5000 mAh battery which supports 33W fast charging over Type-C. When it comes to connectivity, M2 Pro supports Dual VOLTE, WIFI-Calling, India’s own NAVIC navigation system, 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone is also P2i splash-resistant. The Phone runs on MIUI 11 with Poco launcher 2.0 on top.

In India, it will be available for purchase through Flipkart, and its first sale is scheduled for July 14 at 12pm.
